On September 10th this year, our very own Head of Account Management, Matthew Ledger, will be running 12 miles and completing over 20 obstacles during Tough Mudder North West in support of Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Matt says:
“I hate running and I hate mud but I wanted to complete a challenge in memory of my Nan and Grandad who both died due to Motor Neurone Disease. My Grandad passed away before I was born and my Nan passed away in spring 2009. My Nan, Rita, was the centre of our family and at each family event we all notice the gap left by her absence. She was an amazing woman which this disease took away from us and the disease also took away the chance for me, my brother, my sister or my cousins to meet and learn from our Grandad Joe.
“Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe.
“All donations will go to MNDA (who we happen to work with to provide their resourcing solutions) and will help toward research into the currently incurable disease.
